Alfonso Ferrer (born November 14, 2000) is a chilean director and producer. During his childhood, he lived with his family in various cities across the country, which exposed him to different realities and ways of living. At the age of 12, he settled in the city of Puerto Montt, in southern Chile. It was here that he discovered his passion for storytelling. In 2019, he enrolled at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile to study film. In 2023, he co-directed his first short film, "Ducklings," with his friends Isidora Barros and Matías Echeverría. This film was selected for the national competition at the 20th Santiago International Film Festival. In 2024, he and his colleagues founded the production company "Cámbrico Films," which allowed him to write his first script titled "The Birds at the End of the World."
