John Cramer

John Cramer (born July 3, 1955) is an American voice actor, announcer and narrator. He has worked on promos, commercials and animation. He worked as the announcer on TV shows such as Before They Were Stars and Politically Incorrect for ABC, Meet My Folks and Who Wants to Marry My Dad for NBC as well as Trivia Unwrapped for Food Network. He is the announcer on Most Outrageous Moments for NBC and The Planet’s Funniest Animals for Animal Planet. He is the announcer for the MTV Movie Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards, and has provided his voice as the announcer on The Emmy Awards as well as Fox News' The Half Hour News Hour. His voice can be heard periodically in fake promo sketches featured on The Jimmy Kimmel Show and Real Time with Bill Maher. He announced the 1992 CBS game show The Hollywood Game, as well as Big Deal for Fox. He did voice-over work for Game Show Network in 1996 and 1997. He announced on The Newlywed Game and The Dating Game from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, he announced on the short-lived 2000 revival of the game show Twenty One. He has also worked on other game shows including Pyramid with Donny Osmond, The Weakest Link and Pet Star. Since 2011, he was one of the guest announcers for Wheel of Fortune. He announced for the third (final) season of Nickelodeon's game show BrainSurge, entitled Family Brainsurge. John Cramer is also the announcer for Funny You Should Ask, We the People with Gloria Allred, as well as general announcing duties for nearly all the other productions of Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios. Cramer works on many animation projects, too. For Dreamworks, he worked on Shrek, Spirit, Madagascar, and Over the Hedge. For Disney, his work includes Toy Story and Toy Story 2, Aladdin, Tarzan, The Lion King, and Lilo & Stitch. He also worked on re-releases of Disney classics such as Mary Poppins, Lady and the Tramp and Sleeping Beauty. He has also worked on The Emoji Movie, as well as TV series including Rugrats and The Annoying Orange. He has voiced video game characters. For the 2006 video game Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate, he voiced Laszlo, Markal and Cyrus. For the 2007 video game Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East, he voiced Agrael. He has done promo work for several cable networks including The History Channel, Discovery Channel, USA, Comedy Central, Spike TV and the Food Network. He is the promo voice of TVG, an interactive horse racing network. Portions of this are shown on Fox Sportsnet all across the country. Cramer also lent his talent as the announcer on specials such as Miss USA and Miss Universe, both on NBC and the auto award show Auto Rox for SpikeTV. Cramer has been the longtime the voice of CBS2 in Los Angeles and recently started working for KESQ NewsChannel 3 in Palm Springs, an ABC affiliate and the #1 rated station in the market. He has done numerous radio imaging jobs throughout his career. His imaging for Classical 103.5 WGMS in Washington, D.C. helped that station become the #1 station in their market, which is unheard of for a classical station. Commercially, Cramer has been heard on campaigns for Acura, Conagra/Kid Cuisine, Budweiser, Mattel/Hot Wheels, Wendy’s, Jack in the Box and Wal-mart, among others. He works extensively for DirecTV, in both on air and radio spots.
